Product Manager_This role is a permanent and full remote position from Italy for Alpian SA in Switzerland_

As a Product Manager at Alpian, you will take end-to-end ownership of a business domain within the bank, driving the delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions for both clients and internal stakeholders. You will play a strategic role in shaping the product roadmap, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our digital banking products deliver real value.

You will work closely with the Product Director and collaborate with engineering, design, operations, and business teams to translate vision into execution. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a product-led culture and ensuring that our solutions meet both user needs and business goals

Key responsibilities

  • Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap: Partner with the Product Director and your Product manager peers to define and communicate the product vision and strategy. Own the roadmap for your assigned business domain, ensuring alignment with Alpian's strategic objectives
  • Backlog Management: Collaborate with Tech Leads to maintain a well-prioritized and continuously refined backlog, including Epics, user stories, technical tasks and bug fixes
  • Product Discovery & Requirements: Lead product discovery efforts by gathering insights from users, stakeholders, and market trends. Act as a business analyst when needed to define detailed requirements
  • Prioritization & Decision-Making: Make informed prioritization decisions based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility. Align with stakeholders and development teams to ensure clarity and focus
  • User Story Development: Write clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria to guide development and ensure quality delivery
  • Feedback Loop & Iteration: Collect and integrate feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously improve the product and inform future iterations
  • Release Planning: Coordinate product releases, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with stakeholder expectations. Oversee release readiness and communication
  • Quality Assurance: Apply QA standards to uphold product quality standards, ensuring that features meet acceptance criteria and defects are addressed promptly
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for your domain. Foster collaboration and transparency across teams and stakeholders. Work closely with engineering, Design (UX/UI), marketing, and business teams to ensure execution and alignment
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, ensuring transparency and clear communication on product initiatives
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and remove blockers to ensure smooth product delivery
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion best practices in product management. Regularly assess and improve team processes, tools, and performance metrics
  • Performance Monitoring & Iteration: Define key success metrics, analyze product performance, and drive continuous improvements based on data insights.

Key Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a Finance, Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in fintech or digital banking.
  • Proven experience in digital banking services, particularly within the retail sector, with a strong understanding of banking processes and customer needs.
  • Interest in the Wealth management industry.
  • Expertise of Agile process and principles, with pragmatic approach to agility. Experience of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and software delivery processes.
  • Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Empathy for users and a passion for delivering impactful solutions.
  • Technical fluency or the ability to engage effectively with engineering teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
  • Passion for fintech and technology.
  • Valid Permit to work in EU or Switzerland.
  • Having a minimum C1 English level

Nice to have

  • Experience in Startups.
  • Experience in regulated sectors.
  • Project management skills to coordinate and plan product development activities.
  • Familiarity with user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles.
  • Additional languages: French, Italian, or German.
