We are seeking a highly skilled API & Integration professional to lead the design, development, and optimisation of enterprise-grade API solutions. This role will play a critical part in establishing API development practices, improving delivery models, and ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing integrations across systems.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with strategic thinking, contributing to API governance, DevSecOps practices, and continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Integration Engineer with strong expertise in Healthcare systems and HL7 FHIR to design, build, and support scalable API-driven solutions. The role will focus on delivering secure, high-performing integrations across healthcare platforms, ensuring compliance with privacy, audit, and data standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java-based frameworks
- Implement and manage HL7 FHIR-based integrations across healthcare systems
- Ensure high-quality code through unit, integration, and performance testing
- Develop secure APIs using OAuth and modern authentication mechanisms
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
- Work with containerisation technologies and manage end-to-end deployment lifecycle
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement DevOps/GitOps practices
- Ensure compliance with privacy, audit, and logging standards in healthcare environments
- Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments
- Support data integration, transformation, and mapping across systems
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and REST API development
- Proven experience with HL7 FHIR and healthcare applications
- Experience in API testing (REST, performance, unit testing)
- Knowledge of OAuth and API security frameworks
- Experience with containerisation (e.g., Docker) and deployment processes
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of DevOps/GitOps practices
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong understanding of privacy, audit, and logging requirementsNice to Have
- Experience with Spring / Spring Boot / Quarkus
- Database development and optimisation skills
- Test automation using Gherkin, Cucumber, Selenium
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Strong integration and data mapping experience
- Exposure to terminology servers and healthcare data standards
