We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Integration Engineer with strong expertise in Healthcare systems and HL7 FHIR to design, build, and support scalable API-driven solutions. The role will focus on delivering secure, high-performing integrations across healthcare platforms, ensuring compliance with privacy, audit, and data standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java-based frameworks
• Implement and manage HL7 FHIR-based integrations across healthcare systems
• Ensure high-quality code through unit, integration, and performance testing
• Develop secure APIs using OAuth and modern authentication mechanisms
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
• Work with containerisation technologies and manage end-to-end deployment lifecycle
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement DevOps/GitOps practices
• Ensure compliance with privacy, audit, and logging standards in healthcare environments
• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments
• Support data integration, transformation, and mapping across systems

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and REST API development
• Proven experience with HL7 FHIR and healthcare applications
• Experience in API testing (REST, performance, unit testing)
• Knowledge of OAuth and API security frameworks
• Experience with containerisation (e.g., Docker) and deployment processes
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of DevOps/GitOps practices
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Strong understanding of privacy, audit, and logging requirementsNice to Have

• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot / Quarkus
• Database development and optimisation skills
