Our client is a fast-growing startup building an innovative sales and marketing analytics platform. Their mission is to deliver powerful data-driven insights that empower businesses to optimize their go-to-market strategies. As they scale, they are expanding into AI/ML and seeking a foundational team member to lead this charge.
Role Summary:
We are looking for a versatile Data Engineer with a strong AI/Machine Learning background to design and build a time series forecasting engine. This is a pivotal role with ownership of the project lifecycle — from model selection and training through production deployment. You will define the blueprint for future AI initiatives while contributing to the broader development of our data-driven platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development of a neural network-based time series forecasting engine.
- Research, select, train, and validate machine learning models.
- Architect and optimize data structures for scalability and performance.
- Write and tune SQL queries to support ML training and serving.
- Analyze model accuracy, conduct A/B testing, and translate results into business value.
- Document processes and establish best practices for future AI/ML initiatives.
- Act as an internal expert for upcoming AI-based projects.
- Contribute to general software development alongside the engineering team.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building, training, and deploying ML models.
- Strong experience with neural network libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to validate model accuracy.
- Interest in working in a dynamic startup environment with a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and performance tuning.
- Strong Python skills using pandas, scikit-learn, etc.
- Experience with time series modeling and forecasting.
- Familiarity with AWS SageMaker and other AWS ML/data services.
- Background in software development.
