Backend Developer | €250 day-rate contract

Join an eCommerce organisation who are going through an exciting growth phase, to join their team as a Backend Developer. They are an Irish based company with presence in the UK and are expanding into the US, recently opening a location in New York.

You’ll work on business-critical applications and will have real influence over strategy. You will have autonomy over your work and be trusted in your ability to produce. You must be solution orientated in a fast paced, exciting environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Taking hands-on ownership of multiple backend systems, driving performance, scalability, and reliability
• Influencing technical strategy and helping shape the future direction of the platform and business
• Acting as a proactive, solution-oriented engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features in a fast-paced environment

What They’re Looking For

• 3+ years of commercial experience building backend applications with Node.js
• Strong cloud engineering experience across AWS and/or Azure environments
• Experience working in AI-first or AI-assisted development environments and workflows
• Solid hands-on experience with Java and Spring Frameworks in production systems
